This 8'x8' hand-painted barn quilt, "Celtic Harp," is installed on a recently-restored antique barn in Knox. It's part of Helderberg Quilt Barn Trail, which celebrates rural architecture and the American quilting tradition.

Driving tours make the Hilltowns accessible to people who may not be able to walk on our rugged trails. Knox Historical Society has several trails and tours that appeal to a variety of interests, including rural architecture, local history, and a grassroots art movement, barn quilts. One of the trails listed is a walking trail at the Winn Preserve and features QR codes as an alternative the trail guide.
