Children's author Candace Christiansen will talk about her book, Calico and Tin Horns, beautifully illustrated with paintings by her late husband, artist Thomas Locker, which tells the story of an episode in the rebellion through the eyes of a young farm girl.
No longer in print, Helderberg Hilltowns Association will offer for sale several gently used copies of Calico and Tin Horns, and another of Candace's books, The Ice Horse, for signing by the author.

As part of the Path Through History weekend the Knox Historical Society will have the Saddlemire Homestead open from noon to 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 16 with their tin horn and Calico Indian costumes on display. The Saddlemire Homestead is located at 2190 Berne-Altamont Road (Route 156) in Knox.

Jill Witbek Knapp will speak about her book, A Time for Redemption, where she relates the tale of her great-great grandfather William Witbeck's arrest, trial and eventual acquittal for the murder of Rensselaer County Deputy Sheriff Willard Griggs in July of 1869.
